Rob Hudson has been around the world and back playing for and recording with some of music’s most established and iconic artists including:
Kelly Clarkson, Westlife, Jewel, Craig David, Gary Jules, Matt Goss, Guy Chambers, Sek Loso, Daniel Pearce.
Born in London, bassist Rob Hudson, began his music career in the late 1990s. His eccentric approach to bass and his ability to adapt to any musical setting, whether jazz, hip-hop or R&B, has put him in a category of his own.
Rob Hudson got his start, like many musicians, playing in local bands and although R&B music was an important facilitator of Rob’s early style development, he credits Jazz music as his strongest influence. As a teenager, he was exposed to legends like Stevie Wonder, Prince and Steely Dan when listening to his parents' record collection. Rob soon blossomed on the bass, eventually graduating from Derby University with a music degree.
Whilst studying, he met acclaimed song writer Kev Andrews (James Morrison) and Massive Attack’s bassist Winston Blissett. Through this relationship, Rob began working with R&B artists such as Craig David and the rest as they say, is history.
Rob has also composed original scores for several games & short films. Composing credits include Tap Zoo, an iPhone game that has seen over 3,000,000 downloads.
Rob's first solo album, entitled Luna is due for release late 2013.
